Therapeutic/ Deep Tissue
Therapeutic/deep tissue massage -Direct deep pressure applied in slow strokes and intensive holds that releases muscles and stimulates blood flow to tight and contractured areas. This type of massage therapy delves deeply to release tension and restrictions in muscle, fascia and connective tissue. In conjunction with *Trigger Point Release Therapy and myofascial release, these detailed, therapeutic techniques provide relief for chronically tight, over-used and heavily burdened muscles. This massage: Relieves knotted muscles and trigger points that are unable to fully release on their own. It is an effective way to treat chronic muscle tension or injury through realigning deep layers of muscles and connective tissue ,helps improve chronic postural imbalances, eases movement and reduces chronic pain
Relaxation
Swedish Relaxation Incorporates long gliding, fluid, light strokes and kneading techniques applied to the upper layers of the soft tissue. Swedish massage enhances balance and harmony while creating a sense of overall well-being and is widely prescribed by physicians. Regular Swedish massage is an important part of maintaining optimal health and vitality. It is gentle, soothing the mind and body, emphasizing relaxation and restoring lost energy. This massage: -relaxes muscles, loosens stiff joints, reduces pain, eliminates stress, increases range of motion, stimulates the skin, sedates the nervous system, improves sleep quality, increases circulation and lymphatic flow. Do not book this is you want medium to deep pressure or very focused specific treatment.
Ashiatsu
Ashiatsu - In this form of barefoot massage therapy, the practitioner stands on the table and uses parallel bars mounted above the table for balance and stability while using one or two feet to perform the massage strokes. Similar to Swedish Massage, this type of barefoot massage uses lubricated effleurage and petrissage strokes which are compressive, broad, consistent and flowing; giving the sensation of being massaged by very large hands. Tissues are left feeling invigorated, yet deeply relaxed. Massage to fine muscles such as the neck is performed with the hands. Treatment techniques like releasing pec minor or psoas release are also completed with the use of the therapists skilled hands. Ashiatsu may not be indicated for every client that comes through our doors. Please thoroughly read the list of exclusions below prior to booking a session. * Osteoporosis * Spondylolisthesis * Rib or any bone fracture/break within 6 months * If you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant * Breast implants within the last nine months * If you have had any knee, hip, shoulder, spine or major j joint surgeries within the last 6 weeks * If you are currently taking blood thinners, pain killers, or muscle relaxants * If you have uncontrolled blood pressure or a heart condition * If you have a pacemaker, stint or shunt * If you have Guillian-Barre' Syndrome, any neuropathy, any neurological disorder that causes loss of sensation or muscle weakness. * If you have a history of thrombosis, aneurysm or ongoing kidney disorders. * Any autoimmune disorders such as Lupus, Gout, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Lyme Disease * Eye procedures/Lasik surgery within 72 hours * History of tuberculosis, thrombosis, or ongoing kidney disorders * Phlebitis or cellulitis *Skin conditions that compromise the barrier of the skin As with any massage treatment, your therapist may choose to modify treatment or not provide treatment based on the presence of certain conditions.
Cupping Massage
During a Myofascial cupping treatment the therapist uses a combination of many cups to facilitate deep release of facscia and muscle tissue. The cups create suction which over time causes the release. Therapists may use static cupping, dynamic cupping or a combination of both during the session depending on the treatment goals. In static cupping the cups stay in one spot. With Dynamic cupping, one cup at a time is used to glide over your muscles. Cupping softens the tissues separating the sticky fascia and making it easier to massage away tension, reduce pain and enhance recovery. .
Prenatal Massage
A prenatal massage is a designed for expecting mothers. It’s similar to a regular full-body massage, but with some modifications to ensure the safety and comfort of the mother and her baby. Prenatal massages are performed in a side-lying position, which is the safest position for both the mother and the baby as it allows the mother to be fully supported, reducing any stress on her back. During the massage, the massage therapist will use light to moderate pressure to relieve tension and pain in areas such as the neck, shoulders, arms, back, hips, and legs. Later in pregnancy many expectant mothers struggle with low back pain and painful syptoms related to over tight glutes. Prenatal massage reduces tension and pain, it can also improve hormone levels, and improve sleep.
Hot Stone
This is a full body registered massage therapy treatment that incorporates the use of 50 heated basalt stones. The heated stones increase muscle relaxation and allow the tissue and facia to soften with ease. This can be done as a relaxation massage or as a deep tissue treatement.

TSUBOKI Japanese Face Massage
TSUBOKI Japanese Face Massage a relaxing yet revitalizing treatment that makes the client look good on the outside and look good on the inside. It's based partly on the principles of Acupressure, it is a modern take on the Meridian Theory which dates back thousands of years in Japan and China. TSUBO means acupressure point. This is the point along the meridian where the energy (KI) that flows throught the body can be most easily influenced, affecting the body on many levels. TSUBOKI is a massage of energy points to impact the flow of Ki i the body. It's a natural facelift combined with a soothing and uplifting treatment.
Reiki
Reiki is an energy healing system created by Mikao Usui. The practioner does not need to touch the client and the client can remain fully clothed. We will feel the energy blockages and help the client move stagnant, blocked energy and heal if they are ready to do so. Reiki can bring on emotional releases during the session and sometimes after the session. Stored up emotional energy iin the body can be a cause of pain and discomfort that disapates once it's released.
